August 2013 Homebrew Club Meeting
The August meeting will be held on Saturday, Aug 24, at 2:00 PM at Bret Barker’s house. Watch for emails with directions and more details. Also see the club’s Facebook page.
The meeting theme will be a last hurrah for Summer brews. If you have any summer-style homebrew remaining, be sure to bring some along. Hope to see you there!
June Meeting
The June homebrew club meeting will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at 2:00 PM at the Erick Hagmann’s house. Watch for an email with directions and more details.
July Meeting
Mark your calendars… The next club meeting will be on Saturday, July 27, at 2:00 PM at Chris Falk’s house. Look for an email with address and directions as we get closer to the meeting date. As always, bring homebrew or commercial beer to sample. Also bring a glass, and something to throw on the grill or munchies. You may also want to bring a camp chair or lawn chair. Hope to see you there!
AHA Conference on the way!
Our club is going to the AHA Conference at the end of this month!! We are also serving beer at Club night as well as the events Social Club night. The club could use a donation of a few more kegs just so we have enough. If you have a keg of some great beer that we could bring down it would be much appreciated, also, you as the brewer would get full credit for brewing it. Also, all the big names in homebrewing will be sampling your beer, if that means anything to you.

Sorry I didn’t get any of the havoc that was the cooling phase, or of Greg W’s oat smoked malt Gratzer. It was a fantastic brew day and was glad those who could make it out did. Thanks to all. We’ll taste and drink come September.

February 2013 Homebrew Club Meeting
The next club meeting will be on Sunday, Feb 24, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Chuck Warner’s house in South Portland.
Come sample beer and discuss beer and brewing. As always, bring a glass and some homebrew or commercial beer to share and snacks if you like.
We will be starting to hold a brief and informal BJCP “style of the month” discussion at monthly meetings. This month’s discussion will be led by Andy Souza, and the style will be Doppelbock.

Mid-Winter Competition w/ Photos
We wanted to take a moment and give a huge thanks to all those who entered. This competition was fairly hard to judge mostly because all of the beers brewed in the club are getting really great. If you didn’t place or win, you should be proud of the fantastic brews that you make.
We started a bit early, but we were all pretty excited to get going.

Next Group-Brew Chat on HBT
Brian posted a thread on homebrew talk for a better way to communicate and talk about the upcoming group brew. As of now it’s a Berliner Weisse, stay abreast on updates and yell at us on mistakes/ideas there. Cheers.
